It was Sarina’s own children who inspired her to become a Home‐based Educator and almost a decade later she is just as passionate about her job as the day she started. Holding a Level 4 Early Childhood Qualification became something Sarina wanted to do to gain more insight into the curriculum and teaching young children, but with increasing drive and passion, Sarina has recently completed a Diploma in Early Childhood education.
Sarina’s whole family enjoy working with other children, their families and having them become a part of their family. Sarina makes the most of learning opportunities for the children at home and out in the community. There are regular trips to playgroups, museums, parks, bike tracks, indoor play areas, library and the art gallery, just to name a few. Sarina has a strong focus on maths, literacy, sports and the outdoors alongside play, including helping in the vege-garden and sharing their home-grown treats with their families.
Sarina loves and enjoys children, being a part of their educational journey and respects their individuality. Sarina is ‘honoured to be chosen and entrusted to become such an important part of a child’s first 5 years and preparing them to be confident, competent learners.’ Sarina also has an open door policy for parents and mums and dads are always welcome to visit her home and join in on excursions. If you’d like to know more about her home-based programme she would love to welcome you for a chat.
